We are launching the Comal Continues: Home Learning Opportunities (HLO) resource webpage. The HLO webpage includes resources and activities organized by grade level to help keep your child’s learning moving forward and help structure their day while we are closed. There are also links to resources such as Vocabulary.com and Khan Academy, and guidance on how students can reflect on their learning activities.

The College Board has indicated that the SAT administration scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at Canyon High School is still on. Students should report at 7:50 to begin check in. Testing starts at 8:30. Students will test in groups of 20 or less. The College Board has indicated that refunds will not be issued if a student does not show to take the test. Teachers strive to provide their students with real-world lessons on subjects that will impact their lives today and in the future. The sixth grade teaching team at Pieper Ranch Middle School did just that when it collaborated on a project-based learning unit about water. The result is pretty amazing.

All history buffs will be jealous when they see what American artifact graced the halls of Pieper Ranch Middle School recently - the original, authentic Bible used in the country's very first Presidential Inauguration.

Students have many opportunities to shine on their campuses from sports fields and courts to theaters, band halls and classrooms. For a dozen sixth graders at Pieper Ranch Middle School, a writing assignment landed them "Young Author Award" honors and more.

As the spring semester kicks into full gear, Comal ISD students continue to compete for awards, titles and honors outside the typical school day. Here's just a sample of accomplishments from this past weekend.

After competing every year in the final round of the district competition, eighth grade student Rowen Hamilton claimed the title for Comal Speaks this year.

As the district continues to celebrate Career and Technical Education (CTE) month, students involved in CTE organizations such as SkillsUSA showcase their abilities and knowledge at area contests.

After two qualifying tournaments hosted by the Comal Independent School District at Canyon Lake High School, 14 district teams advanced to the next level of FIRST Lego League competition.
