Comal ISD high school students represent their campuses annually at various UIL academic meets. This past year, they found success at local, regional and state levels with a graduating senior bringing home not one, but three gold medals.

During the district's first elementary academic UIL meet, students from three elementary campuses competed in seven categories including spelling, chess, writing, math and story telling. When the dust settled, the Johnson Ranch Ropers took first place honors.

One Comal ISD elementary student made a difference this summer with a little candy, a smile and a big heart. The benefactor just happens to be a foundation whose namesake is also a district student.

This summer's School Age Child Care (SACC) program is in full swing at seven elementary campuses through Aug. 13. Children ages 5 to 11 can still join in on the fun which includes bowling, swimming, visits to the zoo, special guest presentations and more.
